# Withdraw to Ethereum

Learn how to move ETH, WETH, and USDB from your Blast wallet to Ethereum using the Blast bridge.

<Note>
  Using Blast Mobile? Follow the <a href="/withdrawals/blast-mobile">Blast Mobile withdrawal guide</a> instead.
</Note>

This guide is for **regular wallets (EOAs)**, such as MetaMask, Rabby, or a hardware wallet. Funds held in a smart contract wallet (such as a Safe) can't be withdrawn using the bridge website. To withdraw from a smart contract, see the <a href="/withdrawals/eth-from-contracts">ETH</a> and <a href="/withdrawals/usdb-from-contracts">USDB</a> withdrawal guides.

| You have on Blast | You'll receive on Ethereum |
| - | - |
| ETH | ETH |
| WETH | ETH (unwrap it first, then withdraw it as ETH) |
| USDB | DAI |

## Before You Start

### What You'll Need

* **Your wallet, connected to both Blast and Ethereum.** The bridge will ask you to switch networks between steps.
* **A small amount of ETH on Blast** to pay for the first transaction.
* **ETH on Ethereum** to pay for the remaining transactions: 2 for ETH withdrawals, 3 for USDB withdrawals.

Withdrawals are sent to **the same wallet address on Ethereum** that you withdraw from on Blast, so use the same wallet for every step.

You can close the bridge between steps. Your withdrawal is saved, and you can pick it up again from the **History** tab.

## Withdraw ETH

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start your withdrawal on Blast">
    Go to [blast.io/bridge](https://blast.io/bridge), connect your wallet, and open the **Withdraw** tab. If you see a notice that you'll no longer earn points or yield, click **Continue Anyway**.

    Select **ETH**, enter the amount you'd like to withdraw, and click **Submit**. If prompted, click **Switch to Blast Mainnet**. Then check the confirmation box, click **Withdraw**, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

    <Tip>
      Don't withdraw your entire ETH balance. Leave a small amount on Blast to pay for this transaction.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Prove your withdrawal on Ethereum">
    Wait up to **1 hour** while the panel shows "Wait (up to 1 Hour)". When your withdrawal is ready, click **Switch to Ethereum Mainnet**, then **Prove Withdrawal**, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait">
    Wait **1 day** for the challenge period. The **Claim Withdrawal** button stays disabled until your withdrawal is ready.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Claim your ETH on Ethereum">
    Return to [blast.io/bridge](https://blast.io/bridge), open the **History** tab, and select your withdrawal. Click **Claim Withdrawal** and confirm the transaction in your wallet. Your ETH will arrive in your wallet on Ethereum.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Withdraw WETH

The bridge doesn't support WETH, and doesn't include WETH in your withdrawable ETH balance. Unwrap your WETH to ETH on Blast first, then withdraw it as ETH.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find your WETH balance">
    Go to the [WETH contract on Blastscan](https://blastscan.io/address/0x4300000000000000000000000000000000000004), open the **Contract** tab, and select **Read as Proxy**. Find `balanceOf`, enter your wallet address, and click **Query**. Copy the number shown.

    <Note>
      This number is your WETH balance in wei, the smallest unit of ETH (1 WETH = 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 wei).
    </Note>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Unwrap your WETH">
    Select **Write as Proxy**, click **Connect to Web3**, and connect your wallet on the Blast network. Find `withdraw`, paste the number from the previous step into `wad`, and click **Write**. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

    <Tip>
      WETH on Blast earns yield, so your balance grows slightly over time. It's normal for a tiny amount to be left over after unwrapping.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Withdraw as ETH">
    Your WETH is now ETH. Follow the steps to [withdraw ETH](#withdraw-eth).
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Withdraw USDB

USDB is withdrawn as **DAI** on Ethereum, and has one extra step compared with ETH.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start your withdrawal on Blast">
    Follow the first step to [withdraw ETH](#withdraw-eth), but select **USDB**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Prove your withdrawal on Ethereum">
    After up to **1 hour**, click **Switch to Ethereum Mainnet**, then **Prove Withdrawal**, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Finalize your withdrawal on Ethereum">
    After **1 day**, return to your withdrawal from the **History** tab. Click **Finalize Withdrawal** and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Claim your DAI on Ethereum">
    Wait up to **1 day** after finalizing while Blast processes your withdrawal. Once the **Claim Withdrawal** button is enabled, click it and confirm the transaction in your wallet. Your DAI will arrive in your wallet on Ethereum.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="I can't find a withdrawal I started.">
    Open the **History** tab on [blast.io/bridge](https://blast.io/bridge) with the same wallet connected. Withdrawals that are still in progress show **Continue**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I see &#x22;Withdraw ... from Blast transaction failed&#x22; when proving, finalizing, or claiming.">
    This usually means your wallet doesn't have enough ETH **on Ethereum** to pay for gas. Add a small amount of ETH to the same address on Ethereum and try again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The Claim Withdrawal button is disabled.">
    Your withdrawal is still in the challenge period, or, for USDB, still being processed after finalizing (up to 1 day). Check back later.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I can't see my WETH on the Withdraw tab.">
    WETH has to be unwrapped to ETH first. See [Withdraw WETH](#withdraw-weth).
